California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure

This California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Disclosure explains how SASid, Inc., InsuranceTPA.com and their affiliated companies (the “Companies”) collect, use, disclose and sell personal information relating to California residents who use websites sponsored by SASid, Inc. and/or InsuranceTPA.com.

Definition of Personal Information

Personal information is information that identifies, relates to or could be linked with a particular California resident or household.  This disclosure does not apply to certain financial and protected health information that is otherwise protected under a federal privacy law like the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Collection, Use, Disclosure and Sale of Personal Information

The Companies may collect personal information about individuals who visit their sponsored websites, request information about their products or services or are their employees, contractors, vendors or other service providers.  The personal information collected depends on the Companies’ relationship with the individual and the products and services s/he inquires about or enrolls in.

The Companies may use cookies or other technology to provide individualized product or service information and to link data across a site user’s multiple devices.

In the past 12 months, the Companies may have collected the following types of personal information about California residents who are site users:  personal identifiers (such as Social Security numbers or birth dates); personal contact and financial information; protected classification information (such as gender or marital status); financial transaction and account information; biometric information (such as height, weight, fingerprints or voiceprints); browsing history and other internet usage data: geolocation data; call and video recordings; employment history; education information and summary information used to create a site user profile.

The Companies use the personal information to operate the business, provide products and services; analyze and improve the Companies’ websites; vendor management and general business purposes.  Specific uses may include marketing the Companies’ products and services; conducting research and data analysis; facilitating communications; conducting risk and security control; detecting and preventing misuse and fraud; verifying site user identity; performing accounting, audit and legal functions; complying with the law and legal process; maintaining company records and responding to legal claims.

In the past 12 months, the Companies may have disclosed and/or sold the following categories of personal information to affiliated and nonaffiliated third parties for a business purpose:  personal identifiers (such as names but not birth dates or Social Security numbers); personal contact and financial information; protected classification information (such as gender or marital status); financial transaction and account information; biometric information (such as height, weight, fingerprints or voiceprints); browsing history and other internet usage data: geolocation data; call and video recordings; employment history; education information and summary information used to create a site user profile.

CCPA Personal Information Requests

If you are a California resident, you can ask the Companies to disclose the following information obtained by the Companies during the 12 month period immediately prior to your request:  categories and specific items of personal information about you and the categories of the sources of that personal information; the business purpose for collecting the requesting site user’s personal information, the categories of personal information about the requesting site user that were disclosed to a third party for a business purpose; the categories of third persons to whom the requesting site user’s personal information was disclosed; the categories of personal information about the requesting site user that the Companies sold to third parties and the categories of third parties to whom the requesting site user’s personal information was sold.

CCPA Request to Delete Personal Information; Opt Out of Sale; Anti-Discrimination

If you are a California resident, you can ask the Companies to delete personal information about you.  You may also opt out of the sale of your personal information.  And you have the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

Updates and Modifications

Updates and modifications to this CCPA Privacy Policy will be posted on the Companies’ websites.  California residents who are enrolled site users will also receive the update or revision by email.

This CCAP Privacy Policy is effective as of June 1, 2021.
